We provide project management services, business operations support, strategic planning, and policy solutions to businesses and organizations that develop and preserve affordable housing. Alexandra Hanson - Principal
Kreder Hanson Enterprises was founded in 2022 by Alexandra Hanson. Alex brings her extensive experience in housing development, construction, and policy to inform Kreder Hanson's double-bottom-line business strategy.
Alex began her career as a community organizer, which informs her philosophy of community-centered development. She served as Policy Director for the New York State Association for Affordable Housing (NYSAFAH) working with affordable housing leaders from the public and private sector to successfully develop and implement high-level policy campaigns. Following her work in housing policy Alex transitioned into affordable housing development and construction, managing complex business operations and closing over $150MM in affordable housing transactions prior to opening KHE.
Alex’s years of policy work provide a comprehensive understanding of industry programs and trends, as well as valuable insight into how public and private organizations coordinate to achieve shared affordable housing goals. Her years in development and construction demonstrate her ability to successfully execute complex affordable housing transactions involving multiple public and private partners.
Alex is actively involved in her local community, serving as Vice Chair for the Peekskill Housing Authority from 2020-2022 and Board Member of Community Capital NY, a CDFI that specializes in affordable housing and small business lending for traditionally underserved populations in Westchester and the Hudson Valley. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Humanistic Studies from McGill University and Master of Urban Planning from Hunter College.
